

Providence -- McConaghy, Hugh T. Sr., 59, of Admiral Street died peacefully Friday at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Providence, son of Leo J. and Ada (Kinnes) McConaghy, he had lived in providence for many years.Mr. McConaghy was a salesman for various telemarketing firms for 15 years until his illness. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He won the RI State Public Links Championship in 1973 at Triggs Memorial Golf Course. He was a 1965 graduate of Hope High School, and attended Johnson & Wales College. Hugh will be greatly missed by his family and friends.He is survived by his children, Laurie A. Ivone, of Coventry, Tammy L. Flanagan of Warwick, Hugh T McConaghy, Jr. of Lincoln and Timothy P McConaghy of Providence; four sisters Mary DiBase-Kinish of Providence, Ada Graczyk of Pennsylvania, Gerry Tapley of Lakeland, Florida and Ann McConaghy Jacksonville FL; two brothers Pat McConaghy of North Providence and John McConaghy Fort Pierce, FL, and 10 grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Billy McConaghy.His funeral will be Monday morning at 8:45am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Patrick Church Smith Street at 10am. Burial will be in R.I. Veterans Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 3-7pm.
