Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Amedeo and Carmela (Sforza) Tarantino.
Italia’s memory will live on in the hearts of family and friends and all were fortunate to have known her or to have gathered at her table for many celebrations over the years.
She lived her life thru the GOD’s grace and was blessed forever by it.
She was the loving mother of Michelle A. Belanger and her husband Peter, John A. Levesque and his wife Denise and Arthur Levesque, Jr., cherished grandmother of Brittani, Alexa and Lana Levesque and great grandmother of Christian, Jaxson and Amletto. She was also the sister of Amedeo Tarantino, Jr. and the late Antonio Tarantino, Cora Squillante, Rita Bianco, Eleanor Conti and Albina Tarantino.
Her visitation and funeral will be held Monday, August 17, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
