

Italo Pelosi, 80 of Clemence Street, Cranston passed away at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center on May 7, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maria Anna (Meglio) Pelosi for 55 years.
Born in Cerreto Sannita, Benevento, Italy, he was the son of the late Domenico and Rosaria (Masella) Pelosi.
Italo came to the United States in 1972 and was employed at Allendale Insurance for 22 years until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of the Santa Maria di Prata Society and enjoyed gardening, playing bocce, making wine, spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and playing scopa.
He was the father of Rosalba Zanni and her husband Michael, Carmela Brazeau and her husband Scott and Dalida Pare and her husband John; grandfather of Denise and Nicholas Zanni, Brian, Christina and Domenic Brazeau and Gerard Pare; great grandfather of Jayden, Adrianna, Gabriella, Gregory and Alexiana and brother of Giuseppe, Maria, Carmela, and Pierina Pelosi all of Italy and the late Filomeno and Michele Pelosi.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:45 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Ave., Johnston. Entombment to follow in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION WEDNESDAY 4-7 PM.
