Cash, James J., 47 of Pascoag, passed away Friday December 28. He was the son of Thomas J. Cash of Chepachet and the late Patricia A. (Patnaude) Cash. James was the father of Thomas J. Alexander of Cumberland. Jim also leaves behind a brother, Kevin D. Cash of Pascoag, a sister, Melissa A. DeAngelis, of Hope Valley, three nieces, Jillian and Kelly Cash, and Elena DeAngelis, and two nephews, Jack and Noah DeAngelis. James was an active member in the automotive community for most of his life, always preferring to be around anything motorized. Beginning as a young boy, he enjoyed working on model cars, progressing to dirt bikes, then cars as a teenager; adopting his father's passion for antique vehicles. An integral part of the Cash family car business, Jim shared the common love of restoring, repairing and tinkering with cars and trucks, old and new, with a truer love for older Fords in particular. Jim's love for the automotive world will always be remembered through his efforts and talents, which can be seen in the beautiful restoration of his father's beloved 32 Ford. Jim was quick to make a joke with his siblings or nieces and nephews, to try to bring fun to any gathering. He always was, and will remain, a kid at heart. It is hoped that Jim will always be remembered for his kind heart, and constant desire to help any friend or customer in need, no matter the day or time. Many of us relied on Jim in this manner and he will be sorely missed. His funeral with visitation will be held on Sunday evening at 4 PM followed by a service at 7 PM in The Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home 331 Smith St., Providence. Burial will be private. For online expressions of sympathy, visit www.boyleandsonfuneralhome.com
