

CranstonJames A. " Jimmy " Coogan, 20, of Ridgewood Road, died Monday at Rhode Island Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Cranston, the son of James W. and Cheryl E. (Connetta) Coogan, he was a lifelong Cranston resident. Jimmy was a student at the Community College of Rhode Island, Knight Campus, Warwick, and was a 2005 graduate of Cranston High School West. Besides his loving parents, he leaves his loving sister, Emily M. Coogan of Cranston, and his maternal grandmother, Ellen M. (Bussey) Connetta. He was the grandson of the late Anthony J. Connetta, and paternal grandson of the late James and Barbara (Mulligan) Coogan. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will be remembered for his intellect, keen sense of humor, gentle nature, and quiet dignity. The funeral will be held Friday, at 9:00 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in Saint Ann Church, 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Thursday, 4 - 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Tomorrow Fund, c/o Rhode Island Hospital Campus, 593 Eddy Street, Providence, RI 02903 in his memory will be appreciated.
