James Courtemanche, 59, of Johnston, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the companion of Toni Cotoia. Born in Providence, he was a son of Raffaella (Iacono) Courtemanche and the late Louis Courtemanche. Mr. Courtemanche served his country proudly with the United States Navy. He worked as a caster in the metal manufacturing industry for many years. James enjoyed gardening and collecting sports cards with his son.Besides his companion, he leaves his children, Danielle, James, John and Louis Courtemanche and Donald, Maria and Lauren Cotoia; a brother, Louis Courtemanche; and eight grandchildren. His funeral with visitation will begin on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 9:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence.
