

Warwick James F. Cronin, 85, of Villa Avenue, died Wednesday, August 31, 2016, his 85th birthday, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen M. (Judge) Cronin. They were married for almost 62 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Thomas J. and Mary (Curran) Cronin. Mr. Cronin served our country honorably during the Korean War as a member of both the United States Army and Navy. He worked at Davol Rubber Company for 44 years before his retirement, and was also an accomplished carpenter. In addition to his wife Kathleen, he leaves two daughters, Kathleen DiRocco and Maureen DeCesare; a brother, Francis W. Cronin; four grandchildren, Laurie DeCesare, Steven DeCesare, Pat DiRocco, and Nick DiRocco; and three great-grandchildren, Bella DiRocco, Pat DiRocco, III, and London DeCesare. He was the father of the late Colleen Cronin, and brother of the late John J. Cronin, Mary Pironio and Agnes Hicks. The funeral will be held Tuesday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Catherine Church, 3252 Post Road, Warwick. Burial, with military honors, will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Monday 4:00-8:00 pm.
