

Lincoln- McLaughlin, James H. Sr., 75, of Smithfied Ave, died Thursday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. He was the husband of the late Barbara A. (Smith) McLaughlin. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Henry J. and Serena (Almon) McLaughlin. Jimmy was a foreman with the Providence Public Works Dept for 28 yrs. He was a cook for the Hope Club on Benevolent Street in Providence for many years. He was a member of Local Union 1033 and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his children, James H. McLaughlin, Jr. and Joyce A. Verardo, both of Lincoln, his grandchildren, James, Elizabeth and Kyle, a brother, Edward McLaughlin, five sisters, Serena Conley, Jane Loughran, Agatha Carey, Elizabeth Mari and Teresa Casey. He was the brother of the late Mary Keune, Anna Woulfe, Henry J. McLaughlin, Jr. and Joseph McLaughlin. His funeral will be Tuesday at 8:45am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am in St. Augustine Church, Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial with Naval Military Honors, will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
