

NarragansettJames J. Reynolds, 74, of Westmoreland Street, died Wednesday at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Marjorie A. (LaChapelle) Reynolds. They had been married for over forty-eight years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Charles F. and Sarah J. (Salisbury) Reynolds, he had lived in Narragansett for the past ten years, previously living in Pawtucket. Mr. Reynolds was an Independent Property Insurance Adjuster for the past forty years, specializing in property claims and major catastrophic claims throughout the United States. He served his country in the United States Army and also served in the Central Intelligence Agency. He was a 1955 graduate of Providence College. An avid golfer, he was a longtime member of the Swansea Country Club, and was a communicant of Saint Thomas More Church, Narragansett. Beside his wife Marjorie, he leaves a son, James F. Reynolds of Barrington; two daughters, Michelle Reynolds-Golda of Warwick, and Marybeth R. Campellone of East Greenwich; three brothers, Michael Reynolds, Paul Reynolds, and J. Howard Reynolds; three sisters, Sally DeSimone, Lynn Slowinski, and Jane Andrews; and six loving grandchildren, James E. Reynolds, Sarah R. Reynolds, Hope E. Reynolds, Matthew P. Campellone, Nicholas P. Golda, and Brandon R. Golda. He was a brother of the late Charles Reynolds, Peter Reynolds, Joseph Reynolds, and Dana Reynolds. The funeral will be held Monday, at 8:30 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett. Burial, with military honors, in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
