

North ProvidenceShea, James N., of Douglas Avenue, died Wednesday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, he was the loving husband of Imelda V. (Fay) Shea. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late William and Bridget (Foran) Shea. James worked as a guidance counselor for the Rhode Island Department of Corrections for many years, he was also a former meat cutter for the Almac Supermarket.James was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox.Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Terrence B. Shea, of North Kingstown, and Richard A. Shea and his wife, Marianne, of Providence, a sister, Katherine V. Shea, of North Providence, four grandchildren, Miranda, Fiona, Abigail, and Ryan Shea. He was the brother of the late Thomas, William, and Mary Shea.His funeral with visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 8:00 to 10:00 in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 in Saint Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence.
