Born in Providence, he was the son of Harvey Scheer and the late Vivian (DiSano) Brazil and her husband John.
Jamey was the father of Jamey J. Scheer Jr., Lindsay Scheer and Justin Scheer; grandfather of October-Lee, Steven, Jr., Annabelle and Gabriella; brother of Rhonda Hillal; uncle of Briana Rooney and godfather of Ayden Quinlan.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Avenue, Providence.
