Jane Agnes Goodwin

Jane A. Goodwin, 92 of Warwick, formerly of Providence, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 5, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Owen F. and Ann (Farrelly) Goodwin. Jane was a lifelong resident of Providence and received all of her sacraments at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament. She worked for the State of Rhode Island at Eleanor Slater Hospital for 25 years. At the same time, she also worked for Amica Life Insurance Company. Jane was a member of the Third Order Franciscans. She leaves her brother, Thomas N. Goodwin, of North Providence; three sisters, Ann F. Masse, of Warwick, whom she resided with for the past three years, Ellen M. Myers, of Providence, and Catherine M. Murphy, of East Greenwich; many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Jane was the sister of the late Rev. Fr. Owen F. Goodwin ss. cc., Edward J. Goodwin, Mary U. Sweeney, Peter K. Goodwin, and Ellen L. Goodwin. Jane’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 179 Academy Avenue, Providence. Graveside burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours, Monday, June 8, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
