Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she was a daughter of the late Albert F. and Dorothy E. (Creamer) Baribault.
Janet was the loving mother of Dennis Baribault and his husband Steven Sweeney, and she was the sister of Albert F. Baribault, Diane Tucker and the late Richard A. Baribault Sr., Donald F. Baribault, William Baribault, Edward Baribault, Barbara Lancelotta, Shirley Harnois and Dorothy Fontaine. She also leaves her grand dogs Babette, Brandau, Victoria, Daphne and Dakota.
Known for her wit and independent spirit, she excelled as a single mom to Dennis. She was also known as the fun aunt to her many cherished nieces and nephews.
Janet lovingly provided daycare for single mothers who were attending college and later worked as a jewelry finisher at Herff Jones.
Her funeral service and burial will be private.
