Born in New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Marjorie M. (Morse) Powers.
Janet was an avid Elvis fan and loved to dance. Janet had a heart of gold and treasured everyone around her. She will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days.
She leaves a daughter, Brandy M. Lee Brown and her husband Robert A. Brown, a brother, Walter F. Powers, Jr., three grandchildren, Aiva M. Lee, Jordan R. Lee, and Robert Daniel Brown. She was the mother of the late Jessica Marie Lee.
Her funeral and visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 9:00 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will be private.
