

Jeanne Karen Cardente, age 79, of North Providence, RI, passed away on November 6, 2025, at Hope Hospice Rhode Island. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Bertha and Nicholas Amitrano. Beloved wife of the late Valentino Cardente for 54 years.
She leaves behind her daughter, Pamela Cardente Gregoire; her son, Michael Cardente, and his wife, Kelly; and five grandchildren: Sophia and Olivia Gregoire, Alexa and Lauren Cardente, and Sarah Charland.
Beloved sister of Margie Izzo, Kathy Amitrano and her wife, Kathy Missell, sister of the late Vincent James Amitrano and sister in law Judith, along with many beloved cousins and friends.
Jeanne was also sister in law to the recently deceased Robert Cardente.
She attended Mount Pleasant High School in Providence and worked at Quality Beef Company in Providence for 28 years.
Following her Catholic faith was very important to her, and she was a devoted communicant of The Church of Saint Augustine in Providence.
Throughout her life Jeanne cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. She cherished traveling with her husband Val, brother Jimmy, sister-in-law Judy, and friends. Some of her happiest memories were her frequent summer vacations to New Hampshire with her daughter and granddaughters.
In her later years she was an avid puzzler.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 14, 2025 for both Jeanne and her brother in law Robert at 10:00 AM in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
