Jo-Anne (Olivelli) Avella, 65, passed away January 24, 2017. She was the mother of Jillian Avella and her husband Joseph D. Pearl; daughter of the late Carmine and Antonetta Olivelli; sister of Amelia J. Pontarelli and her husband Frank, and twin sister Ann Marie Brant and the late Rita Olivelli. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Jo-Anne was a teacher's aide for the Town of North Providence for 11 years, an adjuster for Travelers Insurance Company, and recently worked at Dunkin' Donuts on Smith Street in North Providence.
Visitation will be held Thursday, 5-7 p.m. with her funeral on Friday at 10 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
