Mom,
As you know that my son, bought a cozy house in Whitinsville, Massachusetts with a huge backyard where Shane and Flor Decorated the birthday party for his son and my grandson, Christian. I was told yesterday, June 14th, that they decorated the balloons on the fence and everything. Something happened at that moment, Shane and Flor saw a huge butterfly, Monarch, flying and touching his house, touching the table outside, and touching his hand and flying at the backyard for a while. They said it must be a sign of you letting us know you gave a sign that you were there with them before I arrived with my dad for the party. When I listened to his story, I smiled and knew it is from you. I love you so much and miss you so much.

Mom, 
Guess what I found, a nest on top of my small window of my side door. I discovered that Robin, the bird flew out of that window puzzled me where did the bird fly from. Then I looked up and surprised that there is a nest. It reminded me that you had a nest on outside light of your back door. Wow, it is amazed to me that you must have directed the bird to my window. Thank you for reminding me that you are watching over us. I love you!

Mom,
You loved animals,  German shepherd Noel, Black Lab Blackie  and Shin Zu Kisses and even a squirrel that came to you and you fed it every morning.
Even more, you loved to play cards with aunt Beatrice Treault, Bill & Doris Simas. Even playing Hi-Lo Jacks with uncle Peter & Carmella on every Tuesdays after dinner at your house. I learned the precious lesson from you is TO LET IT GO when something bothered me. You were right.

Mom, 
You always made favors out of plastic canvas for Crystal's birthday almost every year. You did this out of your heart for them to enjoy the magnet favors to remembered by you. You were matron of honor to stand for your sister, a widow, Barbara's wedding to Roger Bachand and even made many sachets with marked with "B". Her first husband, Lewis Alexander and Barbara had two wonderful sons, Scott -1967 and Ray-1969. Ray got married to Michelle and Ray passed away on Labor Day 1997. He had a full of life but to dive in with scuba diving with two certified divers for an hour in the water(Salisbury Beach) and he never came out. It was so sad as you watched the TV News and didn't know it was your nephew. You were crushed to hear the bad news.  Later on, your hearing sister passed away on January 2011. You were devastated of losing your closest sister because you two were only 18 months apart. Very close sisters  then after 13 years, you two had a Deaf brother, Edward Anthony Raymond Junior named after my grandfather. You loved by your hearing friends and got along with them, too.

Mom,
You loved the best craft-PLASTIC CANVAS. You loved the creative plastic canvas by first making two medieval castle piggy bank for your grandsons, Dillon and Shane. You also made the ribbon tissue boxes with different colors to match bathrooms. Then after that you made different plastic canvas Christmas things. Every year on Christmas you made birdhouse, Santa & Mrs Claus, kisses with candy inside when squeezing and your famous POINSETTIAS we sold a lot of them every Christmas. Also, birthday favors as cakes, ice creams, the state of Rhode Island for the events, Barbara & Roger Bachand's wedding favors- sachets with marked with "B", Joanne's baby shower with brown bears with either pink or blue pins on diapers.So I am doing to keep your dream as I see many boxes of plastic canvas. I love you, xox

Mom,
After you have been working on your 3rd shift from 12:00 midnight to 8:00 am from Monday nights to Saturday mornings at Crystal Plastics company for 20 years then your got hurt. You got the back surgery in 1985 and you had herniated disc to have the bars screwed on your back. After that you did very well however you decided to retired under your doctor's order. Since then, you enjoyed babysitting our kids and played with them in artworks that you saved and even painted handprints on the tablecloth. I still have it. You were good to save their artworks and even napkin that Dillon drew. You cherished their handworks. I can see why as it's so precious to you. I do the same thing with my grandsons, Christian and Brody. You left a good example for me to follow.

Mom,
Again in 1997 during April vacation, you two, Joanne, her daughter, Crystal and friend, David Hatch flew to Florida to visit your mother and aunt, Nancy. Then you all went to see Sea World with the interpreter, present. Also went to Gator place, too. Cool! You all had a great time.

Mom,
You and my dad flew to Florida by yourselves. You two made it and drove to visit your mother and aunt Nancy for 10 days. You two visited Robert and Dorothy Smith at the East side of Florida. Venice is located at the southeast of Florida. You two loved to swim at the Gulf of Mexico and it was only 1/16 mile from your mother's home.
Again 1996, you, two and my family flew to visit my grandma and my great-aunt, Nancy and went to Disney World for three days included Epcot, Magic Kingdom and Universal Studios. We had a great time.

Mom, 
Speaking of Florida, 2012, my dad, Paul Tomasian and I flew to Venice, Florida over Christmas Vacation. We went to Sharky beach( still existing). The pier is still there. Nothing changed since 1971. Like dolphins swimming, same thing in your time, still existing except for stingrays we saw wild stingrays surprised us. We often dig the special drainer and find shark teeth. Back in your time, we found them easily and big teeth about 1-2 inches of shark size but now we found so little of them due to the tides and too many people coming there.back then, there were not popular at that time but now it is. So I walked to the pier with a store in the middle of the pier. The same old man worked there to sell the baits. I asked him about the shark teeth sizes. Now it was about 1/8 size of shark teeth. A fisherman caught a baby shark and tried to pull the white shark teeth but couldn't so he decided to put it back to the ocean. Mom, you always asked us if your nose sunburned with red. We answered yes then you said it's finished. We laughed together.

Mom,
Oh in Florida, you loved to ride a special adult Tricycle with the basket in the back. So at every nights, we gathered the group to ride and follow the roads to exercise. We saw moon and beautiful stars. The group, your mother and aunt, Nancy called "Moon Girls" often they go and dressed up with orange capes and orange beret with yellow Pom-Pom on top of beret during the holiday parades.
You loved Florida with tan and red burning nose.

Mom, 
You have been in Florida many times. First trip-1971, second-December for month-1974-1975, 1993, 1996, 1997 and 2000. After your parents moved from East Boston to Venice, Florida to be near your aunt, Nancy. That was why we flew to visit them quite often. They bought a nice mobile home with Venice Municipal Homes over age 55. Their mobile parked on 33 Bay Street and your aunt's mobile parked on 123 Firenze Street at the same area. 
On 1971, my sister, you and I took a bus from Providence to Florida. It was hard as we couldn't hear anything so we asked the people around and even in New York to changed the bus. It was long, long way to Florida about one day and half in July. Once we arrived, your parents were so thrilled to have us. We had a wonderful time for two or three weeks.

Mom,
Another long trip to Minnesota to be with Dillon and Amber's wedding in December 21, 2008. It was so cold but we managed there specially for you, to have oxygen tank with you in the plane and at the hotel, CPA and all went well. We arrived on Thursday, December 18 and that night we had a rehearsal dinner after the rehearsal. Boy, it was cold as Amber wanted to have a service at the look-like gazebo outside. I thought to myself, it will be freezing but it was up to Amber. On that Sunday, what a relief, they decided to have wedding service inside instead. Outside the temperature was -4. After the wedding service we had dinner on the same room. Beautiful. You two had the best dance and the last dance, the  longest marriage of 52 years together. You were so proud of Dillon as your first grandson getting married.

Mom, 
you loved to travel all over.  East Caribbean Cruise with 680 Deaf people in April 2005 included me and then-Wayne. We flew from Providence to Puerto Rico then cruise to Virgin Island, supposed to port at St. Marteen but cruise changed to Dominica, to Barbados and Aruba for seven days. We had fun.

Mom,
I remembered when my sister and I were young about the years from 1963-1968, my dad and you took us to summer vacation every year. Where? Lake plaid, New Hampshire, Storyland, The Flume, The Clark Trading, Edaville trains, Santa Land,  White Mountain, Old Man Mountain, Sturbridge Village, Plymouth Rock, Mayflower, The Lost River and other places. We had fun and often stayed at a hotel/motel. Most of all, I still have the pictures.

Mom, 
I'm so thankful when you gave me your precious quilt from your maternal great-grandmother. I still have it. I took it a picture of your quilt with your first great-grandson when he was with me that morning. So that meant Christian had a quilt on. It was his great-great-great grandma. That's so precious. I love you. My son, Shane asked Christian a question of your whereabouts of now. He pointed his index finger up in the ceiling (heaven). I cried of course, you are in heaven with our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Mom, 
I wanted to recorded your funny experience but got you trouble. When you and your sister, Barbara Alexander Bachand were little in your bedroom, you two had pillow fights with the feathers coming out from each pillow. You two were thrilled to have feathers all over the room. Your mother opened the door and couldn't find you, two. The funny part was that you collected feathers one by one after your mother opened the door. I laughed with you. I love you, mom.

Mom, 
Then you left the Boston School for the Deaf around 1947 (?). You transferred to Horance Mann School for the Deaf ( it's still there and improving ). You stayed there for few years until age 16, you left that school to work to help and support for your mother, Rose DiGenio Raymond when your father, Edward Anthony Raymond serving at World War II as a sailor under the Navy. I recalled that he worked in the submarine overseas doing the listening the radar of any enemies interfered. So you worked with Aunts Betty (Elizabeth)and Nancy t the company that made bras. Years later, one of your cousin, Collette DiGenio got married, you met her mother in law with her familiars face. You two embraced and had a great talk because you two worked at the same bra company. Wow, it was a small world.

Mom,
I just thought about you swimming in our pool at the back of our house. Since we were little, we rarely see you in bathing suit or swimming, go-cart. You always had full of surprises for us. You went in the pool with your top and short. You loved it and played with your precious grandchildren. I love and miss you!

We just passed the go-carts on route 44.  I smiled and looked up to you. Why? It was the first time that you got in the go-cart with us. We drove around the track and we bumped to you and you smiled and tried to chase us. We had fun on that day. Dillon and Shane were little, yet they drove the go-carts and my dad, Wayne and you and me. We had so much fun and had ice cream afterward. It was the first time we saw you driving the go-cart.

I miss you today. Why? Today is your 2nd year passing. Time flies. I love you and miss you. Wish we have more time together. I recalled that my feet were always under your legs to keep my feet warm. Also I noticed when my dad drove to New England Home for the Deaf with you. You put your left hand under his leg while he was driving. That's your way to tell my dad you loved him and be protected. It's awesome seeing you two were very close only when you two were alone but not with families.
Always think of you when I get to home. It was not the same without you when I get to home. Your house is on the right and I live on the left house. I live and see your house everyday.

Mom, I will always think of you in my heart until meet you in Heaven. I will hold you tightly and never let you go. I miss your beautiful hugs. I love you, mom. I miss you so bad.  

I just get my mind about you and laughed because I never forget that you told us that when you worked 3rd shift. You get up and feel very tired, grab the can and eat it. You didn't realized it's cat food. [We have two cats in the house] You thought it's tuna fish. We laughed. I think it must be good food, ha ha. After that, you won't eat again.

You are very sweet mom I ever had. Mom, I wish you are here right now, I want to share everything how I feel about anything [friends, family, my daughter, my grandchildren, and more] because you never told anyone about my gossiping story. I trust you. Now I can share with my daughter and my husband Larry. It's very hard to trust anyone right now. You are the BEST mom. I want to be the BEST mom to my daughter and BEST nana to my grandchildren. I want to follow your ways.

Mom, Soon it will be Mother's Day, without you, it's hard. 2 years passed on May 16, I still grieve and miss you so much. Without you, I feel so completely different. Now I am more focus on my only one daughter Crystal and her family [grandson Moises Junior and granddaughter Gabriella], I know they need me. I feel you watch over all of us and your family all times to be sure we all will be happy. Mom, I love you so much, Happy Mother's Day, Joanne.

You always had time for the R.I. Girls Club for the Deaf. You committed to dress the Santa Claus every year when we had children Christmas Party. At first, I looked for you, you weren't there but my dad was. Then there was Santa Claus with Rosyln Bouvier always shouted and arms to arms with you. She signed, here is Santa Claus. I have a picture of you and her. When you sit a nice big chair, taking turns for each kid sitting on your lap. When it was  my turn, I noticed your eyes. In my mind, that's my mom! You always did everything for the R.I. Girls Club for the Deaf. You had a kid in your heart. Even now I still remember it very clear. I love you!

During the summer, you always sit at the back of the deck and watching our children playing and riding their bicycles when they were little. Also we had a big swimming pool back if my house and we had fun. We were happy you went in the pool and felt wonderful. Of course you were playing with our children in the pool. They were so thrilled to see their grandma in the pool. You always had the time for us all including your precious grandchildren. You tend to give them something like candies, ice cream, cookies and small toys. They miss you so much!

Mom, 
You know my dad loves you and still go to see you at the cemetery every Sunday. Obviously he misses you so much. Also he felt bad for not enough time with you. I told him that you are watching him everyday. My dad gave you $100 almost every week for allowance. You were very happy and even hid the money in your wallet. One night, we went shopping for Christmas, I was short of cash. So you opened your wallet and tried to take the money where it was hidden. I was surprised to see that and you smiled at me. How clever you were. Later in years, you told Joanne and me to look in every pocket that you may forget, there may be money if you were passing. We laughed with her. Sure enough, you were passing, we couldn't clean your clothes for a while. Then one day we cleaned and remembered your comments so we checked every pocket of your clothes. Yes, we found $100.00, $5.00, lipstick, candies, coins and many tissues. We smiled and looked up to you in heaven. We signed, "You are right!" We love you so much. We saved some of your clothes and I will make a quilt for my dad to remember and smell you in quilt.

Mom,
You were like a exciting child, always expected something from all of us on your Birthday, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, and Mother's Day. You always entertained your grandchildren. You always put your grandchildren before any events because you loved Dillon, Shane and Crystal and even more, your great-grandchildren, Christian, Moises Jr., Gabriella and Brody. You always spoiled them when we, parents weren't around. You never thought you would see your great-grandchildren. Yes, you did it! They missed you so much. You even put paints on their little hands on a big white table cloth with writing their names under their handprints. I still have it and will put it on my table and will cover the plastic on it. You are special!

Speaking of animals, you loved dogs. First dog was Noel, Blackie, Chris(hearing-ear dog) and Kisses. But you hated flowers, why you hated bees, bugs, and flies. I had to laugh on this one, new neighbor secretly put the Lily of the Valley flowers at her back deck. You stated who is this from, you asked us who, we told you we didn't, you were grumped and gave your dirty look. Then we went out to Chili's restaurant. Our neighbor were there, we waved to them. They approached to our table, asking if you liked the flowers. I made a comment, it was from them. You had to smile and signed "Thank you". We laughed so hard. We know you hated flowers.

One Christmas Day I was very, very sick and had to stayed in bed upstairs. At the same time, you and all my families were at first floor cooking and eating and be merry. So surprising  you brought the food on a tray bringing upstairs to see if I was up to eating. I see your caring heart. I ate some. I know you always look out for your families. Even, I had a heel spur surgery, you came to my house next to her house, checking on me if I need help. You are special woman with discerning spirit. You always was right. I love you!

Mom, 
You had a first taste of being grandmother hood. Why? I believed my youngest son, Shane was about 10 months old, Dillon was about over 2 years old. You know how activities you gave two boys games, and your "junk". LOL 
Anyway back to the point, Joanne and I were in basement doing the laundry, I heard a loud bang, is run upstairs to find out what was wrong, you were crying and pointing to Dillon near the broken window. I went to him and looked at his arm. I saw a huge deep cut near his wrist and bleeding, I screamed so Joanne took the car and brought us to RI hospital. I was kinda shaking but Joanne patted on my shoulder, it's ok. As his bleeding was stopped. Whew, the nurse saw his wound and took us to trauma department. At arrival to that department, Dillon was calm, almost fell asleep, I told him not to sleep. I was afraid to let him sleep. I watched him and cried a lot. The doctors observed his wounds and decided to have some stitches. So they gave him a pain release in and started to have about 15 stitches. First they had to sewing the muscles as we can see his bone. They did three layers to do the stitches. He was sleeping at that time and they were working on him and of course I cried. It was our first taste of being motherhood and grandma hood, too. After it was finished, he was happy and went home. You were waiting to see Dillon out of the car, you grabbed him and picked him up and gave a long, long hug. I told you it went well. You told me that it was your fault, I told you it wasn't as it just happened.

Mom, 
On Christmas Day, you always signed "MC" stands for MERRY
CHRISTMAS. You always signed MC, MC in my videotape in every Christmas. I know you loved Christmas as your face was shining and exciting like a child with big eyes and you decorated every room with Christmas stuff. Even more, you put the paper wrapping to cover the pictures on the wall. Whoa!  I missed you during the holidays and it is still hard on me but at the same time, I have to cheer with my families at the same time, I know you are watching over us with your smiling face from Heaven.

Oh, speaking of holidays, you always filled with excitement buying the holidays stuff such as Valentine, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Boy, you always decorated things on the big window and even in the house everywhere. When I went in your house, I smiled and it's you. Now I missed that. We still have your things and will try to decorate these for you during the holidays . It's not the same without you. Wish you are here with us.

On Thanksgiving, you always bragged how many pounds of turkey every year. On that day after we ate the turkey dinner, you always asked us how was it? We always said, "very good" you smiled and satisfied. You loved family gathering in holidays and every Sundays as Italian tradition. So now I'm trying to do the same thing to carry this tradition to be passed on to our next generation.

On every Halloween night when Joanne and I were little, we always went to Billerica visiting our grandparents who lived there. At that night, we went to our grandparents's house without saying using words, "trick or treat" as my parents instructed us not to use voices as they may recognize our voices. We knocked the door and said nothing. They were puzzled and they handed us the candies. We left and walked to different houses then we went back to our grandparents to knock to get more candies. After third or fourth times, they suspected it was us. Finally we went in and stayed there.i love you. You made our lives to be special in our everydays.

Mom, 
I want to record this before the deadline, I have many stories to be passed on to our future great-grandchildren.
Here is the story, 
Every Sundays we got together to eat the dinner and desserts, then we played cards called "Chinese Rummy" ( must have two decks of cards) must follow 7steps. 1st is two books, ex: king, king, king and ten, ten, ten) 2nd is one book and one run(numbers in order allows four cards with same suit) 3rd is two runs, 4th is three books, 5th is two books and one run, 6th is two runs and one book and 7th is the last game with three runs.  The lowest score win. My mom almost won every game. If she lost, she grumbled. Wish we played on that Friday the 11th of May, at that dinner, it was just you, me, dad and Joanne eating the seafood. It was weird as it was just us like the first family before you had grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We smiled after I mentioned about this. 
We tried to play the Chinese Rummy without you. It was not the same without you. We miss you so much. Soon this month it will be 2 years since you passed.

Mom, you always accept when my small daughter Crystal comb your hair. You are very good heart to your grandchildren, you love them so much. That's why I love you, Joanne

Mom, I never forget when we laughed together. When you pick your nose while I drive, I told you to be careful if I brake the car,your finger will go through all the way to your nose to get hurt. She laughed. I never forget we had a good time together go out to the store, make the crafts together, you always go up and spend time with us all times. I love you so much, my beautiful mom. I miss you so bad everyday, Joanne.

Mom, On December 8, 2013 Joan's Craft club "Nancy Vinacco, Susan Tyler, Donna Orozco, Karen Kolash, Marie Wessels, Jeanette Huntley, Linda Choinski, my dad and I went out to eat at Mizui Japanese Restaurant, the foods was so good. We had a fun time there. We misses you. We exchange the gifts. On January 2014, there will be 15 women, oh wow. I can feel you are with us during the craft club. You won't go away from us because you love the craft club. We will promise we will keep going every month until years to go to honor you. We love you so much, XOXO, your daughter Joanne.

Mom, I always remember you in my mind and heart. I won't forget you. I am very sad that you are not here to chat with me, hug each other, share each other, sense of humor to tell, (tears) I miss you so bad. Without you here, I feel different. Again, I miss you. I love you, Mom. Love, Joanne.

Mom, I know you are with me and your family all times. You smile right now, that Nancy and I are the chairperson for Rooster Rodeo Craft Fair on November 2nd at Rhode Island School for the Deaf, time 8am to 4pm. Joan's Craft Club will sell things to earn money for all women go out once a year and go out to restaurant on December. We want to honor you always to remember you. Come and be with us on November 2nd. I want to feel you behind me. I love you my mom, Joanne.

Mom, I still miss you so bad. When I made the crafts, I think of you and wish to show it to you. Thank you so much for teaching me how to make the crafts. You have a good talent to make the crafts. Your favorite craft is plastic canvas. My favorite craft is any thing I can learn. Mom, I still grieve and want you to be here little longer. I want to hug you {tears}. I love you so much, Joanne.

Mom, We are trying to get this into a good habit by playing cards (Chinese Rummy) every Sunday after dinner. Without you, its different. We remembered you always WIN! On May 11, 2012, after dinner, it was weird seeing four of us back into the dinner table as first family (you, dad, joanne and me) it was weird as you asked me and Joanne to play cards but Joanne said she had to go hone. Next morning you fell. Wish we dud played at the last game. I love you! Im sure you are playing up there and watching us to play cards. Chinese rummy is 7 deals (first-two books, 2nd-one book and one run, third-two runs, fourth-three books, fifth-two books and one run, sixth-two runs and one book and the 7th-three runs) that's how we play all the time. I love you.

Mom, I smile when I think of you. When I pick you up for going to shopping. We love to go to shopping together. When I open the window from my SUV or your van, you complains that your hair messed up from the windy. You fixed your hair nicely often and I laughed. I am trying to tell you to wait until to arrive the shopping, then fix your hair. You want me to close the window. I close the window, smile. I miss your sense of humor. I miss you so bad. I love you, your daughter Joanne.

Mom, I remember you love to eat jello with peanut butter with whipping cream. You always show it to me through vp. I always show my face expression (yuck), ha ha. Oh mom, I miss you because we didn't talk each other on vp. I miss you everyday. I can feel you stand next to me while I type right now. I love you, Joanne.

Mom, Yes, I love my dad. Now I can see his heart hurting, because he miss you so bad. He's very lonely. When I went in, he's sleeping. I grieve. I miss you being around to be with him. I know he loves you. I love you Mom. Your lovely daughter, Joanne

Mom, I went to your home to clean up the basement. Wow, you have a lot of crafts more than other stuffs. Nancy and I will be using crafts to remember you. Thank you so much for the crafts we might need. I grieve to see your other things to sell the yard sale soon. The things we don't need, but you are important in our heart forever. Mom, I decided to extend one more year as there are still more to write stories about you to pass on for our future generations such as grandchildren, great-grandchildren and so on. Then we have it printedfor them to read about you. love you, Mom

Hey grandma, 
Everything's going so great here Moises and I will get married this May. I know you are here with us and will be there at the wedding. I just wish I could hug you so hard and just hold you. We miss you so much....I remember telling you I want you to go to the wedding. To take care of yourself. I know now that was wrong of me to say. Because you will be there no matter what! I love you so much grandma. I don't think you have an idea as to how much it hurts me to be at your house and you're not there anymore and to see grandpa so alone. I hope that you are happier now and please stay around us don't leave us alone. We love you so much.

Mom, My sister Nancy was right about you always gave us few meatballs without tomato sauce, ooohhh yes I remember. I never forget. Thank you, sister to remind about this. It's very cherish memories of her to us. 

I never forget that you make the stuffing eggplants. I love it. I did make the stuffing eggplants and my friends and my daughter, Moises and Junior loves to eat. I should make it sometimes to serve with my family. To remember you. You are the best cooker. I understand when you get old, you didn't cook much. Nancy and I will be making the recipes of what you make, will pass to my daughter, Shane and Dillon then will pass to our grandchildren and keep going to our generations forever. I really miss you everyday.. something around me, reminds of you always such as the weather you predicted always right. also i remembered you always made the best meatballs. Also you put three or four meatballs without sauce on the side for me. The rest you put them all in tomato sauce, you used to sign gravy(Italian) by not saying tomato sauce, You always made the best tomato gravy.. with spaghetti. I miss your cooking. I love you.

Mom, I miss you so much. I think of you when I made the crafts. I wants to show you of what I made the craft, but you are not here on earth. I remember when I made something like crafts and scrapbooking, call you through vp and show it to you. My husband Larry said you already saw it because you are around with us everyday. Hello Mom, Your best friend Norma Lynch wrote this to me,

Joan and I had been good friends for years. That time she and I live in Woburm,Ma. I walked to visit her and also she walked to visit me. At night when she was ready walked back home,  walked with her half way. Same thing myself. Now nobody couldn't walked home alone, not safe now and not more fun. She and I rode bikes to Billerica, Ma from Woburn, Ma, we didn't realized we rode long way there. Oh brother, haha. We had bikes accident, Joan almost hit her head from rock she was okay. I hurt my butt and has sore. we were sore. We knocked the door at strange house and need help to call her father to pick us up. He came and was mad at her. Why we rode too far away. We laughed so hard and fun. We visited each other when our kids were little and stayed for supper. We had a lots fun. We went to train in Woburn, Ma and went to Boston, Ma where we worked, not working same company together. We always enjoyed ourselves until she got married and moved to Rhode Island. We see each other less and less. We all were busy with famly. I miss Joan so much. She was sense of humor. I think of her every day. Love always in my heart to her, Norma.

My sister and I was on Videophoning and remembered that you always visited the nursing home where the deaf patients such as The White couple, and Evelyn G and you brought the laughers to them when you arrived with funny wands along the month of holiday.. It was cool and I was with you visiting Evelyn G. Evelyn smiled every time you show up. You usually visited them once a week.. Maybe we can carry your path to visit the deaf patients in hospital or nursing home. Will bring it up to John Spellman Center, Rhode Island association of the Deaf, or Alumni Association of Rhode Island School for the Deaf. You re right as the deaf patients often were lonely due to lack of communication. As far as I know there were only one, New England Home for the Deaf, Danvers, MA where you and our dad often went there for bingo games once a month on Saturday.
I love you.. You were definitely generous even many of your friends dont know and even you gave the Deaf people for a ride to RI  Deaf Senior Citizens every Tuesdays at 579 Plainfield St, Providence, RI.

Donna Roderiques writes the email to me, she wants to share with you: I have known Joan Vinacco since I was a child. She was always such a lovely woman with such a great love for her family. Family meant everything to Joan. Today is her 1 year anniversary, and recently it was Mother's Day. Joan did such a wonderful job raising both Nancy and Joanne. I remember when we were all children, and we would go to your parent's house, and your parent's would come to our house. The first thing I saw was your mom's smile. She loved being around people and socializing with her Deaf friends. She was so talented with her crafts. She was so proud of her work and would bring different items to show her friends. Joan's love was bingo. How she would come in with all her bingo gadgets and lights!!!! She was so funny! But, when she had one number left, she would give me the eye, that's when I knew she was waiting for one more number! She did win, how lucky Joan was. She was always a positive person, never let anything or anyone bother her. She was helpful to the Deaf community, and was a real hard worker at Senior centers. She was always willing to give her time. I will never forget this lovely woman, she was so caring, had a heart of gold and a smile that would light up a room. Joan had this wonderful laughter. She loved to laugh. She was a good friend to everyone that came into her life. It was sad when Joan became sick, and while she was sick, she fought and she fought hard, because of the love that she had for her family. She was a terrific wife, mother and grandmother. The pride she had for her family, was that gleam that was in her eye when she talked about them. Joan is now home with our Dear Lord and I know she is in a very good place. Joan, you will never be forgotten, and you will always be loved. I miss you and think of you everyday as I have your Mass card on my cabinet so I say "good morning" to you every morning. Dennis Webster wrote this email to me and wants to share this: About your Sweet Mom, I always love sitting with your family dinner. That is rarely because she has to go bed before she go to 3 shift night at work. But anyway what I love to see your mom the signs and voice in kind of Italian way. Also love to play cards with anyone. My favorite of all dinner was that your mom made the best eggplant pan ever. Her hair sometime it remind me of dr frankinzen's lady that have white stripe, lol. I know your mom love to go any picnic area or any special event that she love to talk with. Of course I love her sweet hug and nice smile, even more when she is excited with her wide eyes. It is hard to talk to myself to talk about your mom and I think if you and I talk more that will help more story and remind of mom what she did and of course a good laugh. I will try to write more later aout your mom.

Yesterday, Mother's Day it is our first year you were passing. It was hard for all of us, so at 2pm we went to eat at Chili's and went to see you at the cemetery. it was good feeling knowing your flesh (body) in sealed casket safe and sound. So we signed "ILY" to you on the ground and took a picture and also we signed "ILY" up to the sky and took a picture and knowing you are at the paradise watching and seeing us signing "ILY" I am sure you are smiling at us. Love you always.. We miss you all the time.
Love you always in my heart. You are the best Mother I ever had specially Deaf Mother, I am grateful as some Deafies had hearing mothers who dont sign to their deaf child.. its sad.. But at the same time, we are grateful and cant hide from you and dad, as you two will definitely find out later of our mischief actions through the Deaf community. I love you. Last year you were at the ICU, on Mother's Day, you were asking us to kiss you, we were puzzled and we kept kissing you and hugging you on that day. The following Monday, you closed your eyes due to the pains they gave you medicine to ease the pains. I missed your signing "come on over here and kissing with your mouth gesture. So we did.

Mom, I remember you hate flowers. You loves the gifts but not flowers. Know why? I know because you hate bees. You are so cute and sense of humors. Oh mom, I miss you so much. Karen Kolash write to me about you: Your Mom such a sweet lady with a sweet smile that can lighted up the room. When we get together for craft then I accidentally spill blueberry ice coffee on her when trying hug her as a greeting and some of it on her yarn. She amazed me as she doesn't get mad easily like most older woman do. She is a lady with patient. Her being with a great sense of humor does make  a difference. Great teaching at craft. She is someone who you can ask her show you how to do with much patient and at ease!

I remembered you had a special ashtray (you used to smoke for 44 years and quitted in cold turkey). That ashtray was a naked and laid back woman with black hair also along with the white lines on black hair on the edge on the ashtray. I have to find it somewhere in your house. i dont know who made it for you. I will ask around.. someone who went to ceramics and made it for you.

Betty White Feliciano wrote to me: I had seen her and your father at DDC for social few times.  She seemed pleasant and always sat with your father and their friends from RI for playing bingo. Paul, Dad and I flew to Florida on April 21, 2013 to relax the weather there and it was warm.. My dad told us the stories that I remembered. You loved Florida visiting your parents and your aunt, Nancy. Specially you loved to ride the adult tricycle every night with the group"Moon ladies" including us, your mother, and your aunt. It was wonderful time riding and seeing the moon. One time, in July 1971, you, Joanne and I took a bus from RI to Florida to visit your parents right after they moved from East Boston in 1969 or 1970. Once we got to the Sharky's beach, my goodness, the sand was soooooo hot, you walked on the sand and signed to us "HOT!!!!!" we run to the ocean (Gulf of Mexico) and it smoked from our feet.  We laughed so hard seeing it smoked(steam) Imagine, it was on July. You were still my precious mother.

I miss seeing you to dress up silly, beautiful, ugly on your mood to surprise us.. all the time... So I dressed up today as the school for the Deaf have a spirit week, today is the opposite day so I dressed up as I used to be Ms. RIAD (Rhode Island Association of the Deaf) in 1995. You were proud of me to dress up as to remind us that we are kids once in our lifetime. Thats true. I love you.. I will see you on May 16th your first year anniversary. I couldnt believe as its almost a year..

I never forget when I called her by VP often almost every other nights, your mother always talked about her favorite sport Boston Red Sox. She always showed me her hobby Red Sox items. When I talked her but she always watched Red Sox ball game TV with scoreboard. Your mother loved to make lot of different craft things. Almost every week one night I visited her and your dad and I brought coffee rolls from Dunkin Donuts and we had wonderful company. i know her dog still missed her because she loved and played her favorite dog. We were there on October for 7 days. Joanne, you and I went out shopping and eat breakfast and dinner during chatting together. I remember you being so wonderful, sweet lady, nice smile and laugh. I went to Sherry Thorn and Clint's wedding shower last Saturday, April 6, 2013 and see your best friend, Rosyln Bouvier. It was so good to see her and she stated she missed you sooo much. She will turn 90 in this December. I mentioned to her about writing the memories of you.. She brought up a story that I completely forgot.. Glad she shared with me. At your working time at Crystal Plastics Company in Cumberland (off Diamond Hill Rd) you worked 3rd shift over 20 years, however every morning ending your shift at 8 am, you drove to Rosyln's house nearby to walk in and wake her up and make the coffee. You two chatted and chatted. Around 11nish, you drove home and went to bed. Rosyln mentioned that after you left, she cherished the time together with you. She looked good. She stated that you suffered too much and now you are at peace and walking and watching over us. 
It seemed that you two had common, (Jewish), same school (Boston school for the Deaf, Rosyln is 10 years older than you. After your retirement, you two often got together for breakfast either at Friendly's, and J & D resturaunt to catch up chatting. Once a while I joined with you two for breakfast, it was fun and enjoyable.

Mom, When I saw a squirrel, I remembered you had a close look and fed the squirrel in first floor bathroom window. You fed it peanuts every morning.  It came to same place and become friends with you.. You were an amazing human being getting along with animals. Ironically, you hated insects.. Hee hee! 
You always tell us something up/new. Also a nest on the light beside the back door. huge one and it was Robin's eggs. We waited and waited for the eggs to be hatched and you took the nest. The nest was full of twigs and mud. You said how the birds know how to build a nest. Good question even you took the pictures.. I have to find it and paste it here.

When I looked these pictures, it brought me smiling because you always pep rally to everyone in the families as last Sunday, March 31, 2013, whoa, its so different without you there as we gathered a dinner at your living room and missed you because you always surprised us with many Easter things such as lighting Easter hat, ward, decorations and I know there is a box in the basement full of holidays you always enjoyed decorating. I missed that. Even Aunt  Anna mentioned that we needed to share the funny and memory stories. This is the first Easter without you. We miss and love you always in our hearts.

Mom, My (soon to be ex)wife (just kidding:))said I was your brother in law when she meant son in law. Well, if you can read this you know how crazy she can be. I will miss your thumbs up or down for our Red Sox since tomorrow is the first game of the year. I always said you were a fair weather fan because you gave up on them too soon but I know you always rooted for them. I Miss You A Lot.

Paul and I went to Olive Gardens Restaurant and we ordered the stuffed mushrooms. This reminds me that you always made stuffed mushrooms. sometime you made them perfect. sometimes you didnt make them perfect. One day, you put olive oil on top of mushrooms and it burned and the oven was full of smoke. We had to open the door, and windows and we laughed together. It was one of the holiday, I think it was Easter or Christmas. I love you, Mom. It still is not not not the same without you. As I see my dad being alone during the day busy doing his scraps but at night, I worry all the time to be sure he is ok as I know you are with him spiritually. Often he sit next the iron stove burning woods with good smell. He miss you terribly.

Hi Mom,
I love you... Its weird and is still in my mind/heart as on Mother's Day, you were wide awake and asking us for many kisses and hugs.. we were surprised and not knowing the signs that you knew you will go home (heaven) soon as I asked others that went through the same thing, WOW.. Im very grateful you kept saying give me kisses.. give me hugs..its beautiful. Then the following Monday, you were sleeping and were having heart attack. It was hard on Tuesday, We all, families,gathered around you and prayed/singing in Gods songs and sensed the angels were waiting to take you home.We miss you and love you always!! Never, never a day I forget you.

Mom, I love you. You knew that I love you when I wake you up while you are in the hospital, I knew you were dying. I sign ILY hand to you, you smile and close the eyes. It's your last to see me. I never forget. When you opened your eyes look up to ceiling, I try to wave your eyes, you didn't blink your eyes at all. I knew you saw your deceased family and Jesus Christ standing and waiting for you to go home with them. I am happy and sad the same time because I am happy that you are not suffering anymore and be with your family again. I am sad because you left us on the evil world. But we will be with you soon. I miss you everyday why, because I drove home and see you not home(next door to my house).. I always go to your house to see you. Miss you and last week on a rainy day I went to see you at the cemetary(Swan Point Cemetary) and I stood on where you laid under your feet. I signed I miss you and I blew you a kiss. It was hard but knowing you are with us, beside us and watching us every moment. You can be everywhere with my families.

I am happy to see Shane writing to you a while ago as it took him so long as he and Crystal shoved his/her own emotions while he/she was with us all the way interpreting from where you fell and at the hospital. When the nurse gace you the morphine to ease your pain, I screamed, Mommy.. why because your eyes were wide opened and looked up at the ceiling seeing maybe your deceased families up there. It was hard for him/her and glad he/she shared with us. I love you.. Once a while, I didnt realize you are already gone.. its not the same without you. we are happy to keep your memories at Joan's Craft club at your house (living room) on March 2nd (our first using your house to honor you. Im sure you were watching and smiling at us while we did our artwork projects and we will have the craft every month at your living room.  l love you!

 Hello Grandma, I miss you so incredibly much. There is not a day that goes by where I do not think about you and how much I miss you. I remember a time in which I did not have school for 3 days and I spent the entire 3 days with you. Going to Bingo, McDonalds you made sure that I was kept occupied and not just sitting at home. I love you so much and wish daily that you did not have to leave us. I know you are in a better place now but I still wish you were here. Christian misses you as well, and he knows that you are up there in heaven looking down at us and making sure we are on Gods path. I remember on those hot summer days while me, Dillon, and Crystal were outside playing in our pool or sprinkler you would sit on the porch and watch us. I always felt so comforted knowing that you were watching us not only to watch for our safety but you were watching us because you love us. I love you grandma and you will always and forever be in my heart.

Mom, I miss you. I didn't watch Wheel of Fortune game on TV at 7 pm everyday. You always called me vp 630 pm to chat until 7 pm we watched Wheel of Fortune together. It's so much fun. Mom, I miss you. I never forget when you always be with me and Crystal outside when Crystal was small girl. We chatted and enjoy the breeze. We get tan. Sometimes Nancy was with us. Mom, I never forget that I told you and family that I am pregnant. You was so happy and wants me to have a baby girl. I told you, I don't know but hope so. When I born a baby girl, you was so happy. Her name is Crystal Rose Vinacco. She loves you. 
You always babysit my daughter when I go out. You never said no. Because you love her. When she grow up, she always went downstairs to be with you. Most of time, you went upstairs with us playing games, chatting, and do crafts together everyday. I never forget. You are wonderful mother and grandmother to us.
