Joan A. LoBello, Joanne to all who knew her, age 65, passed away August 4, 2026 surrounded by her loving family at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center after a brief illness. Born in Pawtucket, she was the loving daughter to the late Salvatore and Hope (Mulligan) LoBello.
Joanne grew up in Johnston and attended St. Thomas School and St. Mary’s of the Visitation. Shortly afterwards, she began a long career with Blue Cross Blue Shield in Providence and retired from Citizen’s Bank in Johnston.
She was an avid New England Patriots fan and a U.R.I. Ram Football season ticket holder. Joanne loved to travel and took any opportunity to get together with family and a long list of extended “family” to celebrate holidays, birthdays and weddings.
She was the beloved sister of John LoBello and his wife Sandra, Richard LoBello and his wife Jennifer and the late Robert LoBello and cherished aunt of Victoria, Sarah, Lauren Vivi and Teddy and especially the late Johnny LoBello.
Joanne will be remembered for her love! Her generosity! And her spirit!
Visitation will be held Friday, August 7, 2026 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 9:00 AM in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joanne’s memory to the Johnny LoBello Friendship Fund, PO Box 19432, Johnston, RI 02919.
