John E. Archetto, 91 formerly of Cranston passed away August 29, 2013. He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia (Petrucci) Archetto.

Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Conca) Archetto.

John was a machinist for Brown and Sharpe for over 25 years. He was also a Master Electrician and worked maintenance for the Moshassuck Medical Center. He was a WW II Army Veteran and a recipient of the Bronze Star and a former Elk’s Lodge member.

He was the father of Michael J. Archetto, Joyce A. Grenier and Janet Archetto-Pike; grandfather of Joyce, Nicole and Shana; great grandfather of Peter and brother of Henry Archetto, Julia Izzo and the late Daniel, Angelo and Alfred Archetto and Irene Zaroogian.

His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Ave., Johnston. Graveside burial, with Military Honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION WEDNESDAY 5-8 PM.

So sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. I have many memories of your Mom and Dad and of course all the Petrucci family when we were young. I have had some medical issues and sorry that I could not attend.
