John DeCecco Jr., 85, passed away November 8, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Anita E. (Cucca) DeCecco, with whom he just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. He was son of the late John Sr. and Angelina (Colaccio) DeCecco; father of John DeCecco III and his wife Carmen, and Coleen DeCecco; grandfather of Jason Taylor, James and Dalton DeCecco and Claudine Tikoian; great-grandfather of Sophia and Olivia; brother of Cecelia Ricci and the late Eleanor D’Agostino.
Mr. DeCecco was the owner and operator of Cecco’s Men’s Clothing. He retired as Deputy High Sheriff for the State of Rhode Island.
Visitation and funeral will be held Tuesday, 9:00-10:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
