Delgado, John L. Sr., age 83 of Camp St. ,passed away on July 12th . Beloved husband of Evelyn (Hammond) Delgado Born in Providence on October 1, 1923 son of the late Louis and Bertha(Wilnuff)Delgado Before his retirement in 1986, Mr. Delgado was employed by the former Okinite Wire Co. as a Machine operator for over 40 years. A WWII Army veteran serving in the Battle of the Bulge and receiving a Purple Heart . Mr. Delgado was an avid bowler. Besides his loving wife of over 65 years, he is survived by sons, John Delgado Jr. of LA, Perry Delgado of Providence, a daughter Sharon Fordham also of Providence. Brother of Mary Ferrara of No. Providence and Sr. Gemma Delgado OFM of NJ. Grandfather of 8 great grandfather of 13.He was the brother of the late Louis and Anthony Delgado and the late Marion Brady. A funeral service will be held on WEDNESDAY at 10am in The RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON Funeral Home 331 Smith St., Providence. Interment with Military Honors will Follow in RI Veterans Cemetery.
