John Frawley

Providence: Frawley, John, 74, of College Road died Monday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Carol (Mahony) Frawley for 40 years. Born in County Clare, Ireland, he was the son of the late John and Deila (Devitt) Frawley. John worked for the former Washburn Wire Co. for 18 years and later at the former Hospital Trust Bank for 5 years and retired after 10 years from Amica Insurance Co. He was a member of the Irish Ceilidhe Club of RI and the Ireland's "32" Society. Besides his wife he leaves his daughter Eleanor Frawley of Providence, a granddaughter Aishling O'Connell, a brother, Michael Frawley of Ireland, two sisters, Mary Mahoney and Bridie Duffy both of Pawtucket. He was the brother of the late Patrick Frawley. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:45 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am in St. Pius V Church, Eaton Street, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Monday 5-8 pm.
