John Patton

John F. “Jack” Patton, 74, of Foster, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, in Providence. He was the husband of the late Mary A. (Maguire) Patton.Born in Newport, he was a son of the late Joseph H. and Mary (Craddy) Patton.He served his country proudly with the United States Navy.Jack worked as a truck driver for United Parcel Service (UPS) for over thirty years, retiring in 1994.He leaves his two sons, Edward J. Patton, and his wife, Marlena, of Amherst, MA and Joseph B. Patton, and his companion, Lynne LaChance, of Foster; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Raymond Patton and Catherine Madeira.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, at 10:00 am, in Saint Paul the Apostle Church, 116A Danielson Pike, Foster, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited. Interment with military honors will follow in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours will be on Friday, from 5-8 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117) Warwick.
