EAST PROVIDENCEJohn J. Silva, 61, of Office Parkway, died Friday, July 30, 2010, at the Miriam Hospital. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Frank G. Silva and Ellen I. (Harris) Silva. Mr. Silva was employed as a Sanitation Engineer for many years. Besides his mother, he leaves three sons, John J. Silva, and Michael Silva; step son, Michael Brady; two daughters, Loretta Silva, and Donna Silva; step daughter, Melissa Brady; three brothers, Henry Silva, Frank Silva Jr., and Joseph Silva; five sisters, Priscilla Fratantuono, Agnes Silva, Catherine Chagnon, Kathleen Sullivan, and Norma Zaferis; several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Joseph Silva. The visiting hours will be held on Thursday, from 5 - 7 pm with a Prayer Service at 7 pm, in the Russell J.
