Joseph G. Arnold Jr.

Joseph G. Arnold Jr., 82, passed away peacefully at home July 11, 2016. He was the loving husband of the late Geraldine A. (Ferrara) Arnold and the only child of the late Joseph G. Sr. and Mary (Dalton) Arnold. He was the dear father of Kelly L. Arnold, Julie A. Rathbun and her husband Thomas, Gordon J. Arnold and his wife Stacy; grandfather of Kyle and Emma Rathbun and Abigail Arnold; brother-in-law of the late William A. Ferrara.

Joe was a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design and earned his Associate’s degree in business from Johnson & Wales University. He was an avid fresh water and ice fisherman having custom built his own ice fishing sleds through the years. He also enjoyed bowling and gardening.

Visitation will be held Thursday 5-7 p.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 9 a.m. in the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial with military honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
