Joseph "Gigi" Francis Auger Sr.

Born in Providence he was the son of the late Ovilla P. and Helen F. ( Bradford ) Auger.

Mr. Auger had been a truck driver for the former Redfox Beverage Company in Providence and had also worked for the Greylawn Foods in Cranston. He had also worked as a self employed painter and in commercial construction. In his spare time he liked to fish especially in Oakland Beach and Conimicut Point were he could stop at Iggy's for clam cakes and chowder.

Joseph is survived by his loving son, Troy Auger. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Joseph Auger III., Brianna and Britany Dysep, Troy Place and Ciana Auger and a dear great-grandson Ryan Auger. Joseph is survived by his sisters Elizabeth Winn, Mary Ann Perry, and Rhoda Chapell.

Joseph was father of the late Joseph F. Auger, Jr., and brother of the late William Hudson, James Hudson, Gladys Elman and Mary Hudson. He also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday August 30, 2024 from 9:00-11:00 am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Johnston.
