

South Kingstown: Brennan, Joseph A, 77, of Wendy Lane, passed away on Tuesday at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Joan M. (Conway) Brennan for 58 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John E. and Catherine (Rush) Brennan. Joseph was supervisor for Narragansett Electric Company, retiring in 1994 after 42 years of service. He also owned Brennan Landscaping Company.He served in the Army with Company "I", 5th Infantry during the Korean War receiving 2 Purple Hearts. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Michael Brennan of Providence, Timothy Brennan of North Kingstown, Deborah Cunniff of Foster, Cheryl Brennan and Lori of South Kingstown; his brother, John V. Brennan and his sister, Margaret Foss; granddad of Caitlin, Colin and Meghan Cunniff and Michael Brennan. He was the brother of the late Raymond, Edward and Virginia Brennan, Kathleen Higgins and Rita Newell. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated FRIDAY JUNE 4, 2010 at 11:00 am in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, High St., Wakefield. Burial with military honors, will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.In lieu of flowers, donations to the RI Veterans Home, Activities Fund, Unit N 2, 480 Metacom Avenue, Bristol, RI 02809, in his memory would be appreciated.
