Joseph (Joey) was born on February 17, 1948 in Providence. Joey was the youngest son of Michael Calise & Carmella (Casino) Calise. He is survived by his brothers, Michael R. Calise and Robert L. Calise and sister, Marie Savastano.
Joey was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island where he was a member of Theta Delta Chi. Joey spent his career as Treasurer of Calise & Sons Bakery, Inc. until retiring for health reasons in 2000. Joey was an avid golfer and hosted one of the most successful golf tournaments in RI to raise funds for Big Sisters of RI for several years.
