

North Providence Joseph Capraro, 83, of North Providence, passed away on August 13, 2011 at Hopkins Manor. He was the beloved husband of the late Ruth (Carlough) Capraro. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Civita (Fuoco) Capraro. Before retirement, he was the owner of J. Capraro Construction Company for many years. He was also a heavy equipment operator and had worked for Baccala Ready Mix Concrete Company. He was a member of the Our Lady of Charity Club for many years. He leaves a son, Paul J. Capraro and his wife Rhonda; three daughters, Edith L. MacDougald, Robin E. Iascone and her husband Joseph, and Joanna M. Martin and husband James; two sisters, Clara Scungio and Josephine DiNobile; five grandchildren, Robert, Kyle, Joseph, Amanda and Makayla; and a great-granddaughter, Amanda. He was a brother of the late Armando, John, Emilio, Charles and Anthony Capraro, Assunta Leonti, Etta Lanzi and Lena Remington. The funeral will be held on Friday, at 9:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home 331 Smith St., Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Saint Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Thursday, 4 - 7 pm.
