Joseph A. Colavecchio

Born in Providence, he was the cherished son of the late Augustino and Cora (Cardegna) Colavecchio. Joseph was the devoted husband of Rose (Cassala) Colavecchio, with whom he shared an impressive 60 years of loving marriage until her passing in 2023.

Joseph built a long and respected career as a carpet installer, taking pride in the precision and artistry of his work. His eye for detail carried into every part of his life. Whether he was collecting and restoring cars and motorcycles or crafting intricate beaded bracelets, Joseph found joy in creating beauty with his hands. He especially adored his treasured Shih-Tzu, Bella.

He is survived by his loving children: Anthony Colavecchio (Tracy), Joseph Colavecchio (Linda), Dean Colavecchio (Tom), and Nicholas Colavecchio. Joseph was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren; Anthony, Christian, Krystal, Nicole, Bianca, Camryn, and McKenzie; and two great grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense happiness. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rose, and his brother, William Colavecchio.
