Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Mary (Briganti) D’Aquila.
Joe owned and operated Cars Plus for many years before retiring. He was also a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Marines.
He was the father of Dean D’Aquila, Donna D’Orsi and Diann D’Aquila; step father of Debra D’Aquila and Darlene Ferri-Kurjack; brother of Nicholas D’Aquila, Jr. and the late Raymond D’Aquila and grandfather of 5.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston Street, Cranston. Military Honors to follow in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION SUNDAY 5-8pm.
