Joseph Robert McCormick

Joseph R. McCormick, age 85, of North Providence, Narragansett & Jupiter FL, passed away on February 18, 2013. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara S. (Fitzgerald) McCormick. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Luke F. and Annie J. (Callahan) McCormick. Before retirement, Mr. McCormick was employed with the US Postal Service as a mail handler. He was a Navy veteran of WWII , a member of Sons of Irish kings and the Narragansett Senior Center. He was the father of Richard G. McCormick of Johnston & Narragansett,Nancy B. Antoske and her husband Thomas of Narragansett, and the late Robert J. McCormick. He was the grandfather of Maureen, Neal, Elizabeth and Richard. He was the brother of the late Thomas L. McCormick, Margaret M Newton and Helen Giblin, and he also leaves his daughters in law, Jean & Patricia McCormick. His funeral will be held on Friday at 8:30 am from The Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home 142 Centerville Rd., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in the Church of Blessed Sacrament, 179 Academy Ave, Providence.
