Pawtucket- Rowan, Joseph A., 89, of Pleasant St. and formerly of Providence, died Monday at Oak Hill Nursing Centre. He was the husband of Maria (DiCicco) Rowan for 54 years.Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (O'Malley) Rowan.Mr. Rowan worked as an assember for Fram Corporation in Rumford for 35 years. He served with the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was the brother in law of Jennie DiCicco and Nancy Scienzo, and leaves several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Edward H., John F. and William R. Rowan and Gertrude M. McMahon.His funeral will be Friday at 8:30am from the Russell J. Boyle&Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St. Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am in Holy Ghost Church, Atwells Ave. Providence.
