Joseph A. Ventriglia

Joseph A. Ventriglia, 85 of Cranston passed away April 24, 2018. He was the husband of the late Delores (Pontus) Ventriglia.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Rosento and Maria (Vellone) Ventriglia.

Joe owned and operated Aurora Pools of Johnston for many years before retiring. He was also an Army Veteran of the Korean War and an avid New York Yankee and New York Giants fan.

He was the father of Lisa Tansino; grandfather of Marissa and Nicholas Tansino; brother of Louise Deveney, Elaine Scott, Linda Ramieri and the late Joyce Nordberg and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION THURSDAY 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe’s memory to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904. For online condolences, www.romanofuneralhome.com.

My sincere condolences to the Ventriglia Family... Jo Jo was a very kind & loving man, and family meant everything to him.. I have the greatest memories from the annual "Vellone Family" cookouts that we had for 17 years. He was always there with a smile, and so happy to see everyone. He will always be fondly remembered, and sadly missed...
