Josephine Josie F. Mazzocca Capuano

Josephine F. (Mazzocca) “Josie” Capuano, 83, entered Heaven’s gates on January 22, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Elvira (Coia) Mazzocca. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Capuano; devoted mother of Deborah Thomas and her husband Christopher, Robert W. and his wife Debra Capuano; grandmother of Kara Petrillo and her husband Sergio, and Krista Schmidt and her husband Daniel. She was the sister of the late Viola Kulbacki and Alfred Mazzocca.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who touched many lives and inspired all with her strengths, perseverance, and great humor. She was a real estate investor and a business woman who formerly owned Cap’s Laundry & Cleaners in Providence, RI. Her life was dedicated to her family and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, 4-8 p.m. with a funeral on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence, followed by burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
