

Juan Michael Keegan, 68, of Providence, passed away unexpectedly on February 20, 2017. Born January 19, 1949 in Providence R.I. Juan was the son of the late Edmund and Gertrude V (Dickerson) Keegan. Juan was a professional Magazine and Shoe salesman also was a crafted tradesman of making leather goods he sold when he traveled throughout Europe for a year. Juan was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve, Musicians Guild, and had a Degree in Electronics, Certified Skin Diver, CPR, Lifeguard and a Youth Cadet of the Salvation Army. He had a thirst for knowledge and adventure and was someone who did and learned many things but more than that he was a great Son and Brother who was loved and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his brother, Samuel J. Keegan of Providence, two sisters, Sandra A. Hicks and her husband, his brother-in-law Herbert E. Hicks their son, his nephew Herbie E. Hicks Jr. of Coventry, R.I. and Gertrude V. Dator of Palm Coast, Florida as well as many other nieces, nephews and friends. He was the brother of the late, Silkie (Michelle) J. Card of Providence. Visitation Monday morning beginning at 10 AM, with a service to follow at 11 AM in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Burial in Stevens Corner Cemetery, Rehoboth Ma.
