Julian J. Cheney, Sr., 61, of Providence, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Kent Hospital, in Warwick. He was the loving husband of Sandra A. (Mollicone) Cheney. They were married for 33 years and were best friends.Born in Providence, he was the son of Alice (Baptiste) Cheney and the late William J. Cheney.Julian was very devoted to his family and friends. He loved cooking, vacationing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed many sports and was an avid New York Yankees fan.Besides his wife, he leaves his three children, Kristen Cheney, Nicole Cheney, and Julian Cheney, Jr; and two grandchildren, Alysia Juliana Cheney and Shyla Capri Cheney.Julian's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 10:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
