Izzo, Katherine H. (McKiernan) age 73 of Barrington and Freetown, MA, formerly of East Greenwich, passed away on May 26th. She was the beloved wife of the late John P. Izzo, Jr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Roth) McKiernan. Before retirement, Mrs. Izzo was employed by URI, as a teacher, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. For many years she and her husband operated a family business the former Atlantic Coal & Oil Co., of Providence, She was the loving mother of John P. Izzo III of Littleton NH, Paula Wright of Freetown MA and Lisa Bacon of Barrington. Grandmother of 3, great-grandmother of 2. She was the grandmother of the late John P. Izzo, sister of the late Walter McKiernan and Rosanna Loiselle. Her funeral will be held on FRIDAY at 9:45 am , from The RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON Funeral Home 142 Centerville Rd., WARWICK, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mercy Parish, 65 Third St., East Greenwich , at 11am.
