OBITUARY

Kathleen Aidala

June 16, 1942 – September 18, 2023
Obituary of Kathleen Aidala
IN THE CARE OF

Russell J Boyle and Son Funeral Homes

Kathleen Aidala, 81, passed on from this life peacefully at home, with her family by her side, on Monday September 18, 2023.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, Edwin Basil O’Reilly, MD and Jane Agnes (Kirk) O’Reilly, and her sister Jane O’Reilly.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 56 years, Frank Edward Aidala Jr.; their three adoring children - son Richard and his wife Lori, daughter Heather and her husband Tim, and daughter Coreen and her husband Reggie; as well as her grandchildren - Owen, Chase, Darian, Dylan, Shane, and Ava; and her nephews and nieces - Joseph, Elizabeth, Michael, Joshua, Matthew, Michael, David, Alison, and Laura.

Formally educated as a teacher, Kathleen taught primary grades for several years prior to having her family. However, caregiving was her true vocation. This was profoundly apparent not only in the selfless love with which she raised her children, but also in the compassionate care that she provided at home for her father, mother, and aunt at the end of their lives.

Kathleen boldly lived her Catholic faith, loved to laugh, never passed up an opportunity to enjoy ice cream, and was happiest spending time with her family.

She was a loyal friend and confidante; a dedicated daughter, sister, niece, cousin, aunt, mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, and godmother. But most of all she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

We, her family and friends, are better men and women for having been blessed with the gift of Kathleen, and she will be sorely missed.

Funeral arrangements will be private.
