Kathryn H. Owens

Providence Kathryn H. Owens, of Methuen, Massachusetts, and formerly of Dover Street, Providence, died Wednesday at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. She was the wife of the late John I. Owens, (Ret. Captain, PFD). Born in Whitemarsh, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Whalen) Fine. Mrs. Owens was a registered nurse at the Providence Lying-In Hospital for over twenty years before retiring, and was a graduate of the Providence Lying-In Hospital School of Nursing. She leaves a son, John C. Owens and his wife Barbara, of Belmont, MA; a daughter, Colleen M. Lennon and her husband Robert, of Methuen, MA, with whom she lived; and three grandchildren, Kara and Kelly Lennon and Christopher Owens. She was pre-deceased by two sons, Brian I. Owens and Kevin I. Owens. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, at 9:00 am, in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 179 Academy Avenue, Providence, to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
