

Coventry Kenneth "Kenny" Bogue, 95, of Greene, RI passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 12th, 2013. Kenny was the devoted and dear wife of the late Eskil William Bogue. They were married for 65 1/2 years. She was the wonderful and cherished mother of Virginia Schuttert and her husband, Joseph, of Greene, RI and Janet Limoge and her husband, Robert, of Cranston, RI. She was born in 1918 in Monroe, Virginia, daughter of the late Kendrick and Annie Turner Williams. Kenny was the sister of the late Alpha Jones, Fay Williams, Elmer Williams and Samuel Williams. Nan, as she is lovingly known, had ten grandchildren and many great grandchildren with whom she so enjoyed spending time. She also leaves a community of wonderful friends and very caring and highly talented staff at Woodpecker Hill Health Center in Greene, RI. Nan was known for her spunk and spirit and the laughter and joy that her presence created. She and her grandchildren enjoyed many fun filled conversations about a wide range of topics. Nothing mattered more to her than being with her family. She was adventurous; even at age 95, she continued to be eager to get into the car and go places. Going out for coffee and visiting the grandchildren and great grandchildren resulted in the perfect day for her.In earlier years, Kenny created a wonderful home for her family. She loved cooking with her apple pies being a memorable specialty. She became a masterful vegetable and flower gardener. She was well known for her love of cats and dogs, and for teaching her dogs many tricks. Chico, her chihuahua, was amongst her most beloved and memorable pets. Kenny was a talented sewer and enjoyed learning new crafts. She devoted many years to providing excellent child care for some of her young grandchildren while her daughters worked. Kenny knew how to make life easier for others and was happy to do so.Upon retirement, Kenny and her husband traveled and resided in Lynchburg, Virginia and Clearwater, Florida for 12 years as "snowbirds" however nothing made her happier than returning to Rhode Island permanently to be back with her family. Her presence, her lessons and her actions will be greatly missed, though she will always be an inspiration to those who know and love her.The funeral service will be held Thursday morning, at 10:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt117) Warwick. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visiting hours Wednesday, 4 - 7 pm.
