Lincoln Lawrence J. O'Brien, Sr, 80, of John Street, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the husband of Louise G. (Duhamel) O’Brien. Born in North Andover, Massachusetts, he was a son of the late Joseph L. and Simone (DeLoge) O’Brien. Larry was a bus driver for the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority for over twenty-five years, retiring in 1994. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Korean War. In addition to his wife Louise, he leaves a son, Lawrence J. O’Brien, Jr. and his wife Janelle; a sister, Janet E. Thornton; and two loving granddaughters, Mykaela B. O’Brien and Mykenzie M. O’Brien. He was a brother of the late Thomas P. O’Brien. Committal prayers and military honors will be held Tuesday, at 12:00 noon, in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery Chapel, 301 South County Trail, Exeter.
