North ProvidenceLawrence J. "Squeeky" Wells, Sr., 74, a lifelong resident of North Providence, passed away on June 9, 2017. He was the husband of the late Elaine (Gretchner) Wells, and son of the late Donald L. and Doris (Brown) Wells. Larry worked for the town of North Providence in the Parks and Recreation Department for 40 years before his retirement. He was a lifelong member of the Woodward Road Social Club. Larry was also an avid NASCAR racing fan.Larry was predeceased by his twin sons, Lawrence J. Wells, Jr. and Jeffrey Wells.Larry is survived by his brother, Donald L. Wells and his wife Christine and James McCauley, his sisters, Doris Wells and Jeanie Cherella, a nephew Christopher M. Wells and many nieces and nephews. Visitation, Friday at 11 AM, followed by a service at 1230 PM in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be private.
