Lena (Zompa) Calcagni, 96, of Moorefield Street, Providence passed away May 21, 2013. She was the wife of the late C. John Calcagni.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the Enrico and Margherita (Ciccerone) Zompa.

Lena was a seamstress for Natco of West Warwick for many years before retiring. She was also a communicant of St. Bartholomew Church and a member of the Ladies Guild. Mostly, she took great joy in her nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of Rita D’Arezzo and aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Peter Zompa, Lisa DePetrillo, Mary Carlson and Angie Nardone.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Bartholomew’s Church, Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Graveside burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION THURSDAY 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lena’s memory to the St. Bartholomew Memorial Fund. www.romanofuneralhome.com.
