Leo A. "Lee" Armstrong, 86, of View Street, Providence, passed away Monday at home. Born in Woonsocket, RI, a son of the late Alcide and Eva (Robert) Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong served our country proudly as a member of the United States Navy during WWII , after his tenure in Military Service he worked as a Facilites Manager at the Roger Williams Medical Center for 25 years, before retiring in 1990.He was a member of American Legion Post # 56"Lee" was the loving and devoted companion of Doris M. Landi, besides Doris he leaves a son, Thomas J. Armstrong, of Warwick, two daughters, Helene A. Cote, of Charlestown and Patricia M. Armstrong, of Bellingham, Ma, two granddaughers and two great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Robert Armstrong. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 9:00 to 10:15 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Academy Avenue, Providence. Burial, with Military Honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
