Leo Walter Harrison

He was the son of the late David Harrison of Providence, and is survived by his mother, Lorraine D’Abate Palumbo of Bristol, RI, sister Kimberly Harrison of The Netherlands and his nephews and niece, Jacob, Daniel, Rosa and Benjamin.

He was a graduate of Johnston Senior High School and Costin’s Academy of Cosmetology. He worked for many years as a hair stylist in New York as well as Providence.

Leo greatly valued being of help to others in various ways. He volunteered at the William D’Abate Elementary School in Providence as well as St. Robert Bellarmine’s Food Shelf in Johnston.

He enjoyed competing in marathons as well as being actively involved in physical fitness.

Above all, Leo greatly valued his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on May 30th at 10:00 am at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 529 Charles Street, Providence, RI, followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leo's memory to Emmanuel Baptist Church Mission Outreach, 529 Charles Street, Providence, RI 02904.
