

Cranston - Lake, Leonard L.,72, of Villa Ave, died Monday at RI Hospital. He was the husband of Joan M. (Haumann) Lake for 49 years.Born in Providence, he was the son of of the late Waldo A. and Margaret A. (Hussey) Lake.Leonard was was a former purchasing agent and shipper for Westinghouse Electric Co. and later with Walco Electric Co., both of Providence. He also worked for the Cranston School Dept.He was an army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a co-founder of the Edgewood Girls Softball League.Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Leonard L. Lake, Jr., of East Greenwich, Michael P. Lake of West Warwick, Dennis S. Lake of Port St. Lucie, FL, Cynthia A. Lake of Providence and Joanne Lataille of Cranston, four brothers, William Lake of Coventry, Joseph Huyler and John Lake, both of Smithfield and Waldo Lake of Arizona, a sister, Madaline Hathaway of Cranston, nine grandchildren and a great grandson. He was the brother of the late Donald Lake and Dorothy Ramsay.Funeral Saturday at 7:45am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd. (Route 117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9am in St. Paul Church, One St. Paul Place. Cranston.Burial with military honors wiil be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours, Friday 4-7pm.
