
Krohn, Lewis Miles, 90, died Thursday, February 28, 2013 under hospice care at his son and daughter-in-law’s Rhode Island residence. Lewis was born and raised in Utica, New York in 1922 to Ralph and Rose (Fink) Krohn. He was married to the late Shirley (Rich) Krohn for 58 years and is survived by his two children Lisa and Steven Krohn and daughter- in- law Samantha- Scott Krohn. Lewis was an Investment Banker at Lehman Bros, Ira Haupt and Wertheim & Co; a graduate of Harvard '44 and Harvard Business School '46. His personal clients ranged from Bill Levitt (Levittown) to Charles Bluhdorm (Gulf & Western). He served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, Field Artillery. Lewis was a devoted and active alumnus of Harvard. He was the Harvard campaign Class (1944) Chairman 1981-1984 and 1988. He served as President of Temple Beth Ami Synagogue in Scarsdale and Temple Beth Am Shalom in White Plains, as well as Vice Chairman LHP Local Housing Partnership Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield. During the past 15 years he was a devoted and beloved citizen of the Osborn in Rye, New York.
