Lillian K. McCaffrey, 75, passed away April 30, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Flora (Reynolds) McCaffrey. She was the beloved mother of Christopher J. Corsi and his wife Julianne and Kari Butler Gavek and her husband Jason; cherished grandmother of Brittany, Kristina, Nicholas, Jonathan and Jaxson; loving sister of Brian McCaffrey, Terence McCaffrey and the late Edward McCaffrey.

Lillian was a 1961 graduate of North Providence High School. Throughout her career, she worked for many years as a secretary for Sandstrom Carbide, as well as a medical secretary for Gate Orthopedics. Lillian had a clever sense of humor and was at her best helping and supporting others. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and socializing with family and many lifelong friends. She did not enjoy spiders.

Visitation will be held Monday 4-7 p.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.

I’m sorry for your loss Kari , Chris , Julie terry , Brian and grand kids . Lil is a great mom and grandma . I will miss all the dinners that she had, to bring the family together and made memories.
