She was the wife of the late John “Jack” A. Ridgewell. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Delphis Mercier and Sarah Finley, and stepdaughter of the late Harriet (Morris) Mercier.
Mrs. Ridgewell graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Bryant University and completed her Master’s degree in Education from Rhode Island College. She was a teacher for many years, retiring as the Head of the Business Department at Bristol-Warren High School.
She is survived by her nephew, David Mercier Jr., her niece Stephanie Mercier, and her great-niece Cassidy Mercier. She was the sister of the late John D. Mercier, Thomas D. Mercier and David J. Mercier.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, February 23rd at 10 a.m. in St. Pius V Church, 240 Eaton Street, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
